Scaling & Coloured buttons

Today Malcolm’s primary focus was working with the UI, we had some important decisions to make and have various forms of UI to show testers. We are trying to make sure to convey the important information to players in a quick and easy way to understand. Hopefully the testers like what we have and have some good recommendations.

First potential UI, the buttons are coloured to represent the state of the characters hunger, sleep and hygiene.

Second potential UI, the buttons are coloured on the outside to represent the state of the characters hunger, sleep and hygiene. Whilst keep the button colours consistent.

Third potential UI, small icons are coloured to represent the state of the characters hunger, sleep and hygiene. This may be moved inside the button.

I worked on some PR stuff this morning, including setting up our Tumblr page which you can find here. I then spent most of the the afternoon and evening porting all the models I created over to the game engine and tweaking it to fit the game world and making it look good. I created a scene to make sure the scale looks decent, however some more additional models need to be added and altered.

We hope you enjoyed today’s update,

Darius

  1. The UI is coming along well!
I like the art style too, quite unique, I’m looking forward to see what you guys can do with it.
