Cogs are turning

Alex has been making steady progress with the programming, implementing the various sprites and UI into the engine and setting it up to be ready to code. Malcolm has been tasked with art work for the next stages of the game including turning our animations into sprite sheets and creating an additional background area. After writing up what Malcolm and Alex are tasked to do, I’ve been doing some PR work and proof reading the website as well as conceptualizing possible mini games. Everything is going smoothly and everyone knows what needs to be done. I personally feel things are much better now than they have been in the last few months. I am really excited and looking forward to showing you some of our game.

Thanks for your support!

Introducing our new programmer

Hey everyone, sorry for the lack of posts in the last couple of weeks, we have been fixing some of the assets and figuring or fixing out some design decisions. We have also been dealing with some personal issues.

Good news, we have a new programmer Alex which we are really happy to have. We felt as a result of trying to program the game, as we were both learning, along with everything else, made us feel the game wasn’t being developed fast enough. We had nothing new to show as we were working hard on trying to figure some of the programming out. With Alex in our team it essentially means Malcolm and I can return to our elements with confidence that the game is getting programmed and moving forward. On that note, we currently have a bio for Alex and just waiting for a picture before we stick it up. We will post when we have included it so you can check it out.

So what’s the plan? Well as a result of moving from Unity to Game Maker we decided to edit some of the design and tweak some of the UI. This has all been submitted to Alex to implement and we are hoping to have the base game implemented in the next few weeks. Some additional work will need to be carried out for the additional pets and areas we plan to have.

Thanks for tuning in!

Progress

Some good progress in regards to Monstrum. Malcolm and I are still busy working away on the game and I am learning new things everyday. It’s not much to show as all the work is centered around programming at the moment, but hopefully we have something to show soon.

We are looking forward to getting more pets and models created to stick on the site to show everyone. So stay tuned for new posts and screenshots in regards to that.

We know the posts have been pretty baron of late, but we assure you we are still working as hard as ever on the game. Programming was never our element, but we are making progress.

Cheers for checking us out,

Darius

Coding and Creating Quick Update

Malcolm has been hard at work on cutting up the whole pet selection screen ready to be implemented in Game Maker. I have been working on coding to improve the mini game I have been creating, I wanted to make sure we had the best possible way of insuring we got the mini game exactly how we wanted it.

Thanks for tuning in!
